The
Baha'i Faith is the youngest of the worlds independent religions,
with a central theme of the oneness of humanity, equality between
all races, and the equality between men and women...the two wings
of one bird. Some five million strong and representing nearly
all of the diverse peoples of the world, the Baha'is work to advance
the unity of mankind, recognizing that we are all children of
the same God, whose messengers throughout all time have brought
His message to all who will listen, learn, and carry in their
hearts.

Baha'u'llah's son

The
Baha'i Faith was founded by Baha'u'llah
(Arabic for "the Glory of God"), who was born in 1817
and died in 1892. He taught that there is one God whose successive
revelations have guided the path of civilization through time,
and that he was the Divine
Messenger for this time.
The
Baha'i Faith teaches:
Elders
teach us the importance of joining together in unity.

The
Baha'i Faith reaches out to all people of all faiths and traditions,
asking us to set aside our differences and reach out to one another.
In a 1916 talk, "Abdu'l-Baha said. "Attach great importance
to the indigenous population of America. For the souls may be
likened unto the ancient inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula...
When the light of Muhammad shown forth in their midst, however,
they became so radiant as to illumine the world. Likewise, these
Indians, should they be educated and guided, there can be no doubt
they will become so illumined as to enlighten the whole world."
