Please
be patient while this page loads...there are six images, and some
of them are a bit larger than we usually use on a web page...
One
of the challenging parts of the Council Fire weekend for those
who have never been here is getting from the village of Neah Bay
to the Hobuck Beach Campground. We thought it might be a good
idea to try something a little different this year to help you
along those last few miles.
You
can save the maps and aerial photos to your hard drive and print
them separately, or you can simply print this entire page. (Not
all versions of all web browsers are going to be friendly when
it comes to printing large images and keeping them on a single
page...).

Photo
taken in 1994...there have been some changes...but the route is
still the same!
You
will be coming into Neah Bay on Route 112. Follow along the beach
until the road curves to the left.
Turn
right at the "T" intersection, and then take the next
left and go by the clinic,
and proceed out of town.
Somewhere
along the way, Neah Bay Road becomes Makah Indian Reservation
Road...

Continue
on until you see a river on your left. This is where the photos
come into play...

There's
a bridge across the river ahead, and you can see the old Air Force
Station on the right as you get closer to the bridge.
Turn
left and go across the bridge.

After
you cross the bridge, you'll come to an intersection. Turn right
here.

As
you come out of the woods, look for a narrow access road to the
right. This is the entrance to the Hobuck Beach Campground, so
please slow down so you can make the turn on the first try...
You've
arrived...get ready for some fun!
